Founded by José Santiago, Metro Dog Walks NYC is built on over 20 years of hands-on experience in the pet care industry. José has spent decades working with a wide range of clients delivering consistent, attentive and personalized care.

Our Story

José began his career as a dog walker and quickly advanced into a leadership role, becoming a Senior Operations Manager at one of New York City’s established pet care companies. Over the years, he played a key role in growing the business from a small team into a thriving operation serving hundreds of clients, while leading and supporting a staff of over 40 employees.

That depth of experience informs our approach to care today. With a strong background in operations, José brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented mindset to every service — from leash safety and pet routines to client preferences and overall preparedness.
